Why Rut Season

Twenty days a year

The moose rut peaks between late September and mid-October. Bulls move in daylight, the woods get loud, and for about three weeks the biggest animal in the forest stops being invisible.

That window is the drop. Every October it moves, and so does the mark on the back.
